The year 2018 will see the introduction of vibrant programmes full of new flavours and experiences for the travellers on regular vintage train rides. That said, these programmes will in particular be welcomed by the clients who wish to hire the train for their guests and turn it into a venue for an unforgettable event.
ABC rent a car in turizem, Slovenia’s only travel agency that specialises in organising daytrips and special events on board of vintage trains will in the 2018 season enhance its offer in collaboration with the Higher Vocational College of Hospitality and Tourism Bled. They will work together to create new culinary stories full of local and traditional flavours, yet prepared in a youthful and contemporary manner. They are also preparing animation programmes that will be tailored to the clients’ wishes.
The idea to combine the experience, knowledge and energy of the team of experts working at the travel agency and of the students and teachers from the Higher Vocational College of Hospitality and Tourism is the recipient of the ‘Snovalec’ (‘Creator’) Prize that the Slovenian Tourist Board awards to the most innovative ideas in tourism. On Saturday, 13 May 2017, the first Culinary Vintage Train Ride on the Bohinj Railway took place. The guests simply loved it!
Things are moving ahead on our vintage train – the idea that was awarded the Snovalec prize is to become part of the regular offer available to tourists.
These vibrant new programmes full of new flavours and experiences will be organised in the 2018 season on the regular vintage train rides (12 May, 09 June, 27 October, 03 November 2018). They will in particular be welcomed by the clients who wish to hire the train for their guests and turn it into a venue for an unforgettable event.
