Sava Hotels Bled had the pleasure of hosting a delegation of SITE Executive Board and Board of Trustees as part of the Conventa Trade Show on 21st January 2016.
SITE – comprised of 2000 incentive travel professionals and opinion makers – were on a mission to strengthen and support the industry and consequently all the partners of the Slovenian Convention Bureau that participated in the visit tour wanted to present the best they can be. The same goes for Sava Hotels Bled.
A delightful evening that will be fondly remembered by the guests took place at the Grand Hotel Toplice in Bled. Although the hotel was closed at the time due to the seasonality of the destination, Sava’s aim was to impress the SITE group with the best hotel in the portfolio that fulfils the needs of the upmarket segment. Therefore the Lake Salon was rearranged into a gala dinner venue with an elegant banquet setup, romantic lightening and ambient music.
The group was welcomed with red sparkling wine representing the red SITE logo and the symbolic colour of passion and love. Hand-written meaningful quotes and name tags led to a dynamic sitting order.
The high-end culinary experience by Chef Simon Bertoncelj and wine pairings were enriched by several surprises followed by each course. After the first, the guests were invited to plant herb seeds in a small clay pots and write nice thoughts on them. Sava wanted to convey the message that Bled is one of the greenest destinations – and also growing seeds is a metaphor for the growing relationships among Sava and SITE.
Dessert was made even sweeter by an accompanying performance by talented young ballerinas dressed as white swans.
For the most personalized farewell showcasing Sava’s hospitable attitude – welcoming its clients as potential business partners and saying goodbye to them as friends – Sasa Zor, Director of MICE Sales, played the piano exclusively for the SITE group.
“We have been treated like royalty this week and last night at Bled was a perfect way to round off an unforgettable trip. I FEEL sLOVEnia!”, summarized the experience one touched member of the SITE Leader’s group.
