At the end of October 2017, the Slovenian Convention Bureau together with the Slovenian Tourist Board and Slovenian meeting providers, organised regional familiarization trip in Alpine Slovenia for smaller group of #eventprofs.
Meeting professionals had the opportunity to discover the best meetings and incentive sights in Alpine Slovenia between 20 and 22 October 2017. Study tour was conducted for potential clients in meetings and events industry from Slovenia’s target key markets. Seven #eventprof ladies – European based event professionals had the opportunity to learn and experience Slovenia as fresh destination for business meetings, events, congresses and incentives.
As a meetings and events destination Slovenia has it all, from modern conference venues, culinary hot spots, medieval ruined monasteries to whitewater rafting. Slovenia is a young country, and new to MICE, so most attendees haven’t been here before. This makes Slovenia appealing for today’s delegates and meetings professionals who crave something new, different, off-the-beaten track.
This time we took our guests on a 3-day tour of the main meeting & incentive places in Alpine region of Slovenia – Kranjska Gora, Lake Bohinj & Lake Bled. The adventure was enhanced with personal touches and pleasant surprises. The Alpine pearls Bled and Bohinj lie at the outskirts of the Triglav National Park, one of Europe’s oldest, in the heart of the Julian Alps from where captivating vistas open up on all sides of the horizon. The sports pulse of the local Alpine region is naturally felt best in Kranjska Gora. Many cycling and hiking routes, splendid skiing slopes, the Planica Nordic Centre with its zipline over the biggest ski jumping hill in the world, all offer stimulating settings for incentives and meetings that will boost morale, strengthen companionship and energize your day.
