Ramada Resort Once Again Carries Away the Award for the Best Slovenian Ski Hotel

For the fourth consecutive year, the Ramada Resort Kranjska Gora won the international World Ski Award for the best Slovenian ski hotel. Krvavec was chosen as the most popular Slovenian ski resort; other accommodation award winners were Krvavec Hotel and Ruška Koča.

The World Ski Awards is a sister organisation of the World Trade Awards known as the “tourism Oscars” among the professional public. Each year the contest, that first took place in 2013, embraces several categories: ski destinations, hotels, boutique hotels, tour operators and specialist agencies, best new features etc. This year’s assessment, involving those commercially active in the ski business as well as the general public, involved more than 30 countries around the world. This year the special World Ski Academy Award was awarded to Pierre Josserand, one of the pioneers of the French tourist resort of Val Thorens for his contribution to the development of ski tourism.

In November 2016, the solemn proclamation of the World Ski Awards was held in Kitzbühel. There, Hit Alpinea once again celebrated winning the award for the best ski hotel in Slovenia. The Ramada Resort is distinguished by its direct access to the ski trails, 118 newly-renovated rooms, large wellness centre, conference facilities, casino Hit Larix and dynamic programme of activities on the Snow Beach.

The prestigious award was accepted by the Assistant Executive Director, Mateja Golja and hotel manager, Aida Kadič. They stressed that the quality of the services will remain the hotel’s fundamental objective. The fact that the hotel joined the Ramada group of hotels three years ago helps to keep pace with international standards.
