Sava Hotels Bled Hosted Slovene-German Economy Day

The event took place on April 20, 2016, in Bled, in the conference rooms of the Golf Hotel, which is part of Sava Hotels Bled. The Day was the most important event this year for the Slovene-German economy and all the businessmen and companies operating between the two countries. This year’s theme was Industry 4.0.

The event was attended by representatives of companies who connect Germany and Slovenia. Gertrude Rantzen, the president of the Slovene-German Chamber of Commerce, declared the event a milestone of a new era of business relations between the two countries. The aim of the event was to exchange knowledge and examples of best practice. The diverse programme, co-created by over 20 speakers, brought to the participants examples of good practice from both Germany and Slovenia.

Eva Štravs Podlogar, acting director-general of the Directorate for Tourism and Internationalisation at the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, opened the event by stating that “we are very happy with the bilateral economic relationship between our countries.” Slovenia welcomes the continuous growth of commercial exchange, German investments, and tourists.

Two of the participants at the economic-political round table at the end of the day were Maja Makovec Brenčič, Minister of Education, Science, and Sport, and Boris Koprivnikar, Minister of Public Administration.
