The Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre (GR) is the largest of its kind in
Slovenia. It houses 20 multifunctional, state of the art halls, able to hold a capacity
from 25 to 5000 people, with an area of 12,000 square metres. Following a complete
renovation of its infrastructure, GR hosted the 13th OSCE ministerial meeting in
2005, with 1,300 people attending the event. Representatives of European
government also selected the venue for the 15th meeting of the ACP-EU joint
parliamentary assembly (2008), which saw representatives of the European
parliament meet up with peers from Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific.
Supported by the Slovenian Presidency of the EU Council and the European
Commission, the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) organised the
2nd Western Balkans Civil Society Forum.

Furthermore, GR is also a popular venue for various international expert meetings, as well as cultural and social events. From 2006 to 2008, GR played host to the Slovene National Opera and Ballet Theatre.
