25.11.2009
Not far from the lively throb of city streets, and at the same time in a tranquillizing refuge of Pohorje's forests Hotel Habakuk 4* and Hotel Bellevue 4* offer immense opportunities for winter activities. For the coming winter season we have prepared a new offer of incentive packages, which include bed and breakfast, two coffee breaks, a working lunch, dinner and the hire of a hall with appropriate technical equipment. Package prices from 97 EUR per person.

From 20. January 2010 the business Hotel Piramada 4*, which is located in the city centre of Maribor, will have a new look. At this time the first phase of renovation works, which include the renovation of 35 rooms, will be completed. This will provide for even more comfortable business meetings at the centre of the Styrian capital.

Hotel Bellevue 4* is designed for those who want to escape from bustling city life and to relax their body and soul in the embrace of lush greenery. In spring 2010 we are introducing an offer of team bonding programs. We are introducing workshops, which will provide participants with natural methods to reinforce team spirit and above all to know themselves. For example the eco team cooking workshop and active sports on the snow, in collaboration with renowned instructors and supervision of a psychologist.

About Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre (GR)

23.04.2009
The Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre (GR) is the largest of its kind in
Slovenia. It houses 20 multifunctional, state of the art halls, able to hold a capacity
from 25 to 5000 people, with an area of 12,000 square metres. Following a complete
renovation of its infrastructure, GR hosted the 13th OSCE ministerial meeting in
2005, with 1,300 people attending the event. Representatives of European
government also selected the venue for the 15th meeting of the ACP-EU joint
parliamentary assembly (2008), which saw representatives of the European
parliament meet up with peers from Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific.
Supported by the Slovenian Presidency of the EU Council and the European
Commission, the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) organised the
2nd Western Balkans Civil Society Forum.

Furthermore, GR is also a popular venue for various international expert meetings, as well as cultural and social events. From 2006 to 2008, GR played host to the Slovene National Opera and Ballet Theatre. His bestseller, An Inconvenient Truth, was presented by Al Gore himself at the charity event for holders of the Diners Club Exclusive credit card (2008), while his predecessors at the said event included Ben Affleck (2007) and Naomi Campbell (2006). Traditionally, GR hosts the oldest international wine tasting competition in the world, Vino Ljubljana (1954 – ). The venue was used as a presentation stage for Nordic architects (2008), including the expert international forum in the fields of medicine and pharmacy DIA – 2nd Clinical Forum Ljubljana (2008). The Conventa Meetings and Incentive Travel show (2009) annually presents the conference services on offer in South-East Europe to over 150 event organisers from all over Europe. The coming years will see GR host at least two major international events: the World Beekeepers Congress and the 7th International Conference on Autoimmunity.

GR is located in the centre of Ljubljana, which spans around the medieval historic centre, wrapped around by the Ljubljanica River, featuring the central castle hill and fort. Safe and enchanting, particularly in the summer months, when its restaurants and bars move their services outdoors. Small and with a personal note, only 10 km from Ljubljana Airport, close to the other natural attractions of Slovenia, which is characterised by its diverse cuisine and friendly people.

Kempinski Palace Portorož became the first Slovenian Five-Star Superior Hotel

22.04.2009
In January 2009, the Kempinski Palace Portorož underwent an assessment according to the new Slovenian categorisation model and thus became the first Slovenian hotel to be
classified in the five-star superior category. The model is based on European requirements concerning the standards of equipment and services and is comparable with the categorisation systems in other countries with highly developed tourism. Many of the criteria used in the categorisation model overlap with the international standards to which the Kempinski Hotels adhere. The Kempinski Palace Portorož received 95.7 percent of the total score.

The highlight of the Kempinski Palace Portorož is its exclusivity combined with a superior standard of services for discerning guests. The hotel boasts a unique and distinct character and an appeal which has become synonymous with the Kempinski hotels. It blends gracefully into the cultural tradition of its surroundings, which gives it an unparalleled quality. The Mediterranean charm of the town of Portorož is reflected in the hotel’s luxurious comfort, grand culinary experience, opulent interior design and hospitable atmosphere. The international Kempinski Palace Portorož ranks in the highest five-star superior category.

The renowned Kempinski Palace Portorož was officially opened in October 2008. Similarly to 1910, when the hotel was opened for the first time, its reopening in 2008 marked the revival of Portorož tourism and was the pinnacle of local hoteliers’ efforts to valorise the tourist gems of Portorož and Slovenian Istria. The intertwining of the beneficial effects of the microclimate, the natural and cultural sights and state-of-the-art hotelier knowledge is again putting Portorož on the map of the world’s top tourist destinations attracting guests all year round.

The Kempinski Palace Portorož is the first luxury hotel in Slovenia, and lives by its concept of “where old meets new”. With its fresh appearance, it takes its guests on a journey through time. Visitors can pamper themselves in a hotel setting where elements dating back to the turn of the 19th century intertwine with a subtle modern style using exquisite materials to create uncompromising beauty and prestige.
