The Renewed Villa Vipolže Opens its Doors

One of the most beautiful villas in Slovenia impresses with a new congress, cultural and social centre where it will be possible to organize events and meetings with a touch of Venetian elegance.

After a comprehensive renovation of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia, Vila Vipolže in Brda opened its doors this October. The most beautiful Renaissance villa in Slovenia impresses with a new congress, cultural and social center, where it will be possible to organize events and meetings with a touch of Venetian elegance topped with great hospitality of the Brda region.

The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia with the help of European Union funds fully restored the exterior and interior of the Villa Vipolže. The total investment amounted to 7.330.071.53 euro. The renovation of the villa began in 2012 with the implementation of complex conservation and restoration works, followed by installation works and the purchase of equipment which was completed in May 2015. In mid-July this year, the Ministry of Culture handed over the mansion in the management of municipal public institute for Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sport Brda for a period of five years.

At the official opening of Villa Vipolže, Julijana Bizjak Mlakar, Minister of Culture of Republic of Slovenia pointed out that the very successful reconstruction of the Villa Vipolže confirms a well-planned 15-year strategy of the Ministry of Culture where selected monuments, Castles and manors owned by the state were chosen to be restored/renewed. Now, the newly opened Vila Vipolže is a conference, cultural and social centre which prides itself on establishing links between people and world’s places.
