The Slovenian Human Resources Congress Took Place at the Grand Hotel Bernardin

Slovenian Human Resources Association in conjunction with the company Planet GV organized an annual flagship event the Slovenian Slovenian Human Resources congress which took place from the 14th to 15th April at the GH Bernardin in Portorož.

This year’s congress’s title was “From an idea to results!” which was also the red thread of the event. The main topics of the congress evolved around questions such as:

– How to come up with the right idea that would give solutions to the challenges we face in the field of human resources?
– Do we know how to present our idea to company’s managers and does the idea inspire our colleagues?
– How to develop an idea and get desired results and then measure the outcome results?
– Can we maintain the condition of desired results on long terms?

The first day of the congress, delegates got a chance to familiarize themselves with new tools intended for measuring the performance of factors in the human resources department. As president of the Slovenian Human Resources Association Rok Zupančič pointed out: “It is necessary to be aware of what is happening in the organization and what needs to be improved or changed, in order to bring any new idea to life and get desired results in the field of HR management”.

The participants also learned about new trends in the process of measuring human resources capital, they got acquainted with new measuring programs and learned about the necessity of measuring certain HR factors.

This year the congress was also marked by putting strong emphasis on presenting practical examples. Examples and established practices used in the HR department within the economic sector and public administration sector that are used in Slovenia and abroad.

Also during the congress awards were given in order to acknowledge the excellence in the field of human resources and to improve the reputation of the HR function, to reward successful work in the field of human resources and provide greater influence of HR managers in Slovenia. Awards such as “HR Manager 2016” award, “Slovenian HR Association awards” and “New HR talent 2016 award” were granted to recognize the professional work of individuals in the field of human resources. The HR manager of 2016 became Bojana Zupanič, a Talent director at Danfoss Trata.
