Cankarjev dom – CD Cultural and Congress Centre Ljubljana has recently announced a busy congress season 2021/2022, live and online.
Cankarjev dom – CD Cultural and Congress Centre Ljubljana, will in the last few months of 2021 carry out or organise several domestic and international events. Starting in September the Cankarjev dom’s 2021/2022 season, the international online seminar on the Occupational Exposure to Carcinogens in Hospitals: Protection of Workers welcomed thousands of participants online. Seminar was organised by the Ministry of labour, family, social affairs and equal opportunities in the frame of the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2021. At the seminar, a number of distinguished experts from Slovenia, Belgium, Italy, Norway, Hungary, Poland, Portugal and Spain presented the latest research and examples of good practice in the field.
Cankarjev dom in September hosted also 24th Days of Schrott or Slovenian Family Medicine Days and the 38th Slovenian Medicine Days or Derčevi Days. Between the 13th and 15th September there was the 4th European Conference on Domestic Violence (ECDV 2021) and the ICOM NATHIST, the international virtuals ymposium dedicated to museology was held between the 12thand 16th. Then, in next week, Cankarjev dom is in the second pandemic year announcing the EFFR 2021, the European Forum for Research in Rehabilitation, and between the 30th of September and 1st of October, the international scientific conference Perspectives on Teacher Education and Development organised by Faculty of Education in Maribor.
This fall will also see a lot of events. For example, Cankarjev dom will host the 9th Slovenian Conference on Addiction Treatment, the Slovenian Psyhciatric Congress in, the 14th Congress of the European Urogynaecological Association (EUGA 2021). ICAR 2021 , IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, the 17th International Conference on Progress in Robotic Kinematics, the elite medium-sized international conference, one of the most established and respected in robotics, will be held in December 2021.
Besides conferences and congress, the Cankarjev dom – CD Cultural and Congress Centre Ljubljana will also host fairs and festivals. This weekend, the MineralFest – minerals and fossils fair will be held, then, at the end of the month the Festival of the Third Age (F3ŽO), and in November the renowned and beloved Slovenian Book Fair, this time in its 37th edition. Additionally, this month, Cankarjev dom will again join the worldwide initiative of the International Society of Paediatric Oncology (SIOP) for raising awareness about children’s cancer for the second year in a row. From the 25th to 30th September, Cankarjev dom’s building will, like many important institutions across Europe, shine in gold colour.
