In Cankarjev dom November is always one of the bussiest months of the year. Firstly, there is the magnificent Ljubljana Film Festival (Liffe), attracting fans of internationally awarded moving pictures from Slovenia and abroad. Everyone who takes part in this event is certainly among the first to participate in the screening of carefully chosen selection of films – a warranty for the thrill of the audience.
And with the Liffe just barely ending there is the Slovenian Book Fair‘s time! In the country’s largest bookshop under the roof of Cankarjev dom there are over 100 publishing houses displaying nearly 25,000 books in a 6-day long book festival. 30,000 visitors can take part in 350 events that unfold on its open stages and throughout the whole premises of CD. If planning a visit to Slovenia and Ljubljana, November is, despite of the autumn whether a good opportunity to get to know a true Slovenian culture.
