GR in Ljubljana Getting an X-Ray

EXRS – European Conference on X-Ray Spectometry is a biennial conference series that started in 1984 in Goteborg. It has become a traditional meeting for scientists from around the world working in x-ray spectrometry or using one of its several techniques. It represents an exciting discussion forum for basic research and applications of x-ray spectrometry in a rich variety of fields like materials science, chemistry, radiation physics, medicine, biology, environment, cultural heritage, technology and industry.

This year, the EXRS 2018 is organised by Slovenia’s biggest research institute – The Jožef Stefan Institute – and held in the halls of GR – Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre. A six day conference presents for approximately 300 international delegates an opportunity to learn more about the latest developments in theoretic, experimental and applied XRS, to discuss with people from all over the world, to share their own work and to learn from others. The scientific program consists of invited lectures from distinguished scientists, oral presentations and poster contributions given by the participants and industrial exhibition and presentations given by the sponsors.

[vc_cta h2=””]Considering the continuous impact of new technologies and state-of-the-art instrumentation on the development of X-ray sources, optics, detectors and accessories, EXRS constitutes an excellent exhibition platform for exhibitors. High ranking representatives in the rapidly expanding field of science will gather to introduce and demonstrate new products and development in order to facilitate the decision-making process related to acquisition and/or upgrading both the experimental and analytical equipment.[/vc_cta]
