Pharmaceutical company Novartis has announced this year date for their regional BioCamp Event 2017. From 21st to 23rd May 2017, the company will bring together selected top students with their distinguished experts and top managers at Regional BioCamp 2017 to Ljubljana.
A three-day forum is a great opportunity to gain direct insight into the world of research and international business environment within the pharmaceutical industry. 7 years in a row (first Regional BioCamp was organized in 2011), top regional students in natural sciences, from last year pre-graduate studies, masters, doctoral and post-doctoral studies, will gather at the Regional BioCamp 2017. 35 selected students will be chosen based on their academic excellence, professional experience and extra-curricular activities and the winners of the Regional BioCamp will participate at the Novartis International BioCamp 2017 in Basel, Switzerland.
Regional BioCamp 2017 will begin with first day Ljubljana sightseeing and welcome dinner in Ljubljana city centre and the second day will bring key-note presentations of leading scientists from academia, Lek, Sandoz and Novartis with new developments in the generic pharmaceutical industry and biosimilars, worldwide experience in biosimilars development, starting a company, immunotherapy – new treatment approaches, patient view on treatment opportunities, career opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry and also workshop “How to develop and launch a biopharmaceutical product”. The last day of the forum will finish with key note presentations and of course topped with a visit to Sandoz development facilities in Slovenia.
