Rooftop of the Hotel Park Ljubljana is home to a little herbal oasis and beside it, there is a home to mora than 200.000 bees. Those are not any type of bees, this are indigenous type of bees called Carniolan bee. In the beginning of June, they extracted this years first honey. This Urban honey is being served at breakfast and is also being used in their desserts and homemade ice cream. They also took action on other fields of substanability, with different measures they managed to cut down usage of water and electricity.
Main objective is to spread sustainable way of thinking. On daily basis they are trying to spread the knowledge amongs employees and also amongs guests. Past experiences with guests already proved they are eager to learn about this and are also very pleased with hotels policy.
With summer already here, comes the time for »green meetings«. In warm days hotel Park, also likes to organize their meetings outside in nature provided shade in the adjacent park. For all those who prefer air conditioning over natural shade, there is enough space for any group in conference rooms. During »green breaks« you can all search for new inspiration and creativity, while recharching your batteries with coffee. In hot days you can cool down on their terrace, where you will find homemade ice cream, desserts and lemonade.
