{"id":14855,"date":"2020-11-06T09:59:07","date_gmt":"2020-11-06T08:59:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.slovenia-convention.com\/?p=14855"},"modified":"2020-11-06T09:59:11","modified_gmt":"2020-11-06T08:59:11","slug":"slovenia-among-worlds-most-sustainable-destinations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.slovenia-convention.com\/sl\/slovenia-among-worlds-most-sustainable-destinations\/","title":{"rendered":"Slovenia among world&#8217;s most sustainable destinations"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Among the 100 world&#8217;s most sustainable destinations are 9 in&nbsp;Slovenia:&nbsp;Bled, Brda, So\u010da Valley, Ko\u010devsko, Ljubljana, Logar&nbsp;Valley-Sol\u010dava, Miren Kras, Pod\u010detrtek and Roga\u0161ka Slatina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main purpose of&nbsp;this year&#8217;s&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/greendestinations.org\/events\/ggdd20-home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Global Green Destinations Days<\/a><\/strong>, which took place online, was again to connect experts,&nbsp;destinations and tourist organizations&nbsp;in the field of sustainability and promote the sustainable tourism and examples of good practices. Three Slovenian destinations were presented for this very purpose: Logar Valley-Sol\u010dava, Bled and Miren-Kostanjevica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the online launch event, the Green Destinations organization also revealed this year&#8217;s&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/greendestinations.org\/sustainabletop100\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sustainable Destinations Top 100<\/a><\/strong>list, which includes as many as nine Slovenian destinations:&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.slovenia.info\/en\/places-to-go\/regions\/alpine-slovenia\/bled\">Bled<\/a><\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brda.si\/eng\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Brda<\/a><\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.soca-valley.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">So\u010da Valley<\/a><\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kocevsko.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ko\u010devsko<\/a><\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.slovenia.info\/en\/places-to-go\/regions\/ljubljana-central-slovenia\/ljubljana\">Ljubljana<\/a><\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.slovenia.info\/en\/places-to-go\/regions\/alpine-slovenia\/upper-savinja-valley\">Logar Valley-Sol\u010dava<\/a><\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mirenkras.si\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Miren Kras<\/a><\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitpodcetrtek.com\/en\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pod\u010detrtek<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.visit-rogaska-slatina.si\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Roga\u0161ka Slatina<\/a><\/strong>. The list is published every year with the aim of highlighting the best and most inspiring stories of sustainable tourism to&nbsp;both, business and general public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications were evaluated by the Sustainable Top 100 team, experts from individual countries and&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/greendestinations.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Green Destinations<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;partners; this year, they particularly emphasized the quality of the applications. The Commission has emphasized that none of the destinations on the list is entirely sustainable, as this is impossible, but that&nbsp;all are taking decisive steps in this area and showing great progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Sustainable Destinations Top 100 selection is conducted each year as part of the Top 100 Partnership with Green Destinations, QualityCoast, TravelMole, Vision on Sustainable Tourism, Travelife, ITB Berlin, Asian Ecotourism Network, Ecotourism Australia and GLP Films.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All destinations that have been included in the list of Sustainable Destinations Top 100 this year are also holders\u00a0of\u00a0the Slovenia Green gold label, which confirms that\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.slovenia.info\/en\/business\/green-scheme-of-slovenian-tourism\">the Green Scheme of Slovenian Tourism<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0functions well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Source: slovenia.info<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Among the 100 world&#8217;s most sustainable destinations are 9 in&nbsp;Slovenia:&nbsp;Bled, Brda, So\u010da Valley, Ko\u010devsko, Ljubljana, Logar&nbsp;Valley-Sol\u010dava, Miren Kras, Pod\u010detrtek and Roga\u0161ka Slatina.
