Maribor, the Styrian capital and Slovenia\u2019s second largest city known for its wine growing tradition is the\u00a0host of the PODIM Conference,\u00a0the largest and leading conference\u00a0on entrepreneurship, startups and innovation in the Alpine-Adriatic region. The conference will take place at the\u00a0Hotel Habakuk<\/a>,\u00a0which lies on the slopes of Pohorje.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The PODIM Conference is\u00a0celebrating its 36th edition, will soon gather the key players from the startup communities from all over the world to share new ideas and present new challenges in terms of collaboration between start-ups and well established companies.<\/p>\n

The main\u00a0topic of this year’s conference is \u201cHidden forces of startups or how startups revolutionize a business and its environment.\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0The innovativeness and speed of successful startups interfere with all aspects of the private and business life. Sometimes they entirely turn around the way a society, including industries, functions. We can find countless cases of hidden forces of startups transforming the environments we work in, the markets in which we operate, the way organizations do business and, last but not least, the values of a society. Startups are thus one of the main forces behind society’s progress and development.<\/p>\n

Every year, more than 80 established speakers and investors<\/strong> as well as more than 600 participants<\/strong> from more than 10 countries<\/strong> attend the conference. The PODIM conference is the event at which internationally esteemed guest speakers at a series of roundtables, lectures and workshops present the latest knowledge for building new global technological ventures and developing entrepreneurship in established companies, from the practical as well as academic point of view.<\/p>\n
