The city centre festival season traditionally starts with the June in Ljubljana festival and ends with Nights in Ljubljana Old Town at the end of August. Ljubljana Festival<\/strong><\/p>\n The Ljubljana Festival<\/a>, with its long history and tradition of presenting premier artistic events, contributes significantly to the cultural life of Ljubljana in the summer.\u00a0The festival\u2019s\u00a0rich programme<\/strong>\u00a0of concert, opera, and ballet events features internationally renowned artists, including\u00a0some of the world’s most recognised names<\/strong>\u00a0in music and performing arts.<\/p>\n 27 June \u2013 13 September at various venues in Ljubljana<\/em><\/p>\n Ljubljana Jazz Festival<\/strong><\/p>\n Do you like jazz? Here\u2019s something for you! The\u00a0Ljubljana Jazz Festival<\/a>\u00a0features some of the world’s biggest names in jazz, attracting music lovers from home and abroad and it will take place at five in and outdoor stages of CD Congress Centre Ljubljana. Beside concerts this year\u2019s festival offers also a rich accompanying program \u2013 lectures, an exhibition, a guided tour, a Library Beneath the Trees and a workshop for children. An interesting fact: The Ljubljana Jazz Festival is the oldest European jazz festival (57th edition).<\/p>\n 28 June \u2013 2 July at CD Congress Centre Ljubljana<\/em><\/p>\n Street Theatre Festival Ana Desetnica<\/strong><\/p>\n Kids and grownups \u2013 we all love four days when\u00a0Ana Desetnica<\/a>\u00a0is in town because she always brings so much joy and laughter! The vibrant Ana Desetnica international street theatre festival will bring together a large number of street artistes, clowns, circus performers, jugglers, tightrope walkers, fire-eaters, musicians, “provocateurs”, dancers and actors from Slovenia and abroad. They will turn the whole city centre into a stage! You have to see and experience this! And don\u2019t be surprised, if you\u2019ll played a part in any of the performances.<\/p>\n 30 June \u2013 3 July at various outdoor venues in Ljubljana<\/em><\/p>\n Urbano dejanje – UD<\/strong><\/p>\n The Urbano dejanje festival is quite new festival and it attempts to integrate diversity into an innovative, youthful and accessible way. The festival will present the music, culture, art and sports elements of urban culture in Ljubljana.<\/p>\n 8 – 14 August at Toba\u010dna factory<\/em><\/p>\n Young Lions<\/strong><\/p>\n Each year at the end of August, the young lions of contemporary performing arts get together in Ljubljana to present their work at the\u00a0Young Lions festival<\/a>. Apart from showcasing daring approaches to contemporary theatre and dance, the festival offers an opportunity for socializing in the city’s public spaces and is an open platform for exchanging ideas, building friendships, and starting collaborations. The Festival has a distinctive atmosphere, marked with creativity and vibrant spirit, curious audience and social nature.<\/p>\n 18 – 28 August at Elektro Ljubljana’s Old Power Station and other venues<\/em><\/p>\n Nights in Ljubljana Old Town<\/strong><\/p>\n Nights in Ljubljana Old Town<\/a>\u00a0will symbolically concluding Ljubljana\u2019s summer event season.
