In the west, <strong>pure alpine\u00a0streams<\/strong> strengthen as they descend into the valleys,\u00a0becoming churning <strong>white-water rapids<\/strong>, ideal for rafting and canyoning. Elsewhere, <strong>picturesque lakeside paths<\/strong> provide perfect terrain\u00a0for cyclists. If you love the outdoors, it&#8217;s time you got acquainted with <strong>Europe&#8217;s adventure\u00a0playground<\/strong>. Slovenia&#8217;s Alpine region features <strong>all year round resorts, congress centres, special and other meetings venues<\/strong> that can host a variety of meetings and events up to 550 delegates.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Breathe the fresh Alpine air and enjoy the image of paradise<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Bled<\/strong> and <strong>Bohinj<\/strong>, alpine pearls lying on the edge of the <strong>Triglav National Park<\/strong>. Having enjoyed protected status since 1924, it is one of the oldest national parks in Europe. It is named after Mount Triglav, the highest peak in Slovenia (2,864 metres) and represents the pre-eminent symbol of the Slovenian nation. As a folk saying has it: \u201cYou&#8217;re not a real Slovenian if you haven&#8217;t been to Triglav yet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The island of <strong>Lake Bled<\/strong>, an icon of Slovenian tourism. The platform at the peak of the island houses, a medieval section with Baroque alterations and a charming bell tower. The island probably had a special meaning in prehistoric times already, and Slovenian famous poet Pre\u0161eren praised its Slavic sanctuary.
