{"id":6444,"date":"2017-01-26T11:10:46","date_gmt":"2017-01-26T11:10:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.slovenia-convention.com\/?p=6444\/"},"modified":"2017-01-26T11:10:47","modified_gmt":"2017-01-26T11:10:47","slug":"ljubljanas-culinary-hotspot-atelje-praised-food-critics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.slovenia-convention.com\/sl\/ljubljanas-culinary-hotspot-atelje-praised-food-critics\/","title":{"rendered":"Ljubljana&#8217;s Culinary Hotspot Atelje Praised by Food Critics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Union Hotels bistro <a href=\"http:\/\/www.union-hotels.eu\/en\/grand-hotel-union-business\/culinary-offer\/atelje\" target=\"_blank\">Atelje<\/a> received five stars by\u00a0the renowned Slovenian\u00a0food critic\u00a0and\u00a0writer Uro\u0161 Mencinger.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In January 2016, the <strong>Grand hotel Union introduced a new chef de cuisine Jorg Zupan. <\/strong>He and his team took over Smrekarjev Hram,\u00a0Ljubljana\u2019s famous restaurant with more than 30-year old tradition.<strong> Over the summer 2016 the restaurant was completely transformed and with the new name \u201cAtelje\u201d, the place also got a new concept.\u00a0<\/strong>The idea of the bistro came to life with the help of Mitja Bobnar, the architect takes credit also for the exceptional and creative conference hall design at Hotel Lev in Ljubljana.<\/p>\n<p>In only a few months time, the stylish Atelje already gained popularity among leisure and business guests that came to Ljubljana.\u00a0Chef de cuisine\u00a0Jorg Zupan with his<strong> culinary creations convinced even the most demanding guests, including the picky food critics. Uro\u0161 Mencinger for Slovenian newspaper Nedelo wrote:<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>\u201c<\/strong>Atelje doesn\u2019t only have a <strong>creative sound to its name<\/strong>, but with its concept of urban and chef bistro right in the center of Ljubljana is a <strong>perfect place for the young chef<\/strong> to show us what he can do. And he did. <strong>In half a year he made it to the top<\/strong>!\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Jorg also <strong>presented his skills at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.conventa.si\/\" target=\"_blank\">Conventa<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0when he introduced his culinary creations <strong>to more than 300 international meetings professionals at welcome reception<\/strong> held in Grand Hotel Union.
