In October 2017, they\u2019ve commemorated this special anniversary by opening a remarkable exhibition titled \u201cRAVNIKAR\u2019S LINE&#8221;. The architectural planning of the Republic Square and Cankarjev dom complex\u201d. Cankarjev dom, <strong>Slovenia\u2019s largest cultural institution<\/strong>, was built between 1982 and 1983 following the designs of the <strong>architect Ravnikar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>At this year\u2019s 50th European congress of Pediatric Nephrology (ESPN) in Glasgow, Ljubljana competed for the organization of the<strong> ESPN congress 2020<\/strong> and won against rivalling and prestigious destinations such as Dublin and Moscow. The ESPN 2020 candidacy was presented by prof. Tanja Kersnik Levart (Head of the Paediatric Nephrology Department, Ljubljana University Medical Centre) and Du\u0161ica Todorovi\u0107, representative of CD Congress Centre Ljubljana, event venue.<\/p>\n<p>Besides maintaining the leading role as the central Slovenian congress centre with the largest number of international congresses, Cankarjev dom also <strong>focuses on being professional congress organizers (PCO) on other locations, one of the leading PCO\u00b4s in the region<\/strong>. One of their latest successful congresses was the <strong>ECML-PKDD 2017<\/strong> in Skopje, Macedonia, organized together with the Slovenian Jo\u017eef Stefan Institute from 17th to 22nd September 2017.
