Where the Whole World Meets

UNESCO and the Government of Slovenia, in cooperation with the Commonwealth of Learning (COL), and with support from the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, organised the 2nd World Open Educational Resources (OER) Congress that has taken place in CD Congress Centre Ljubljana (Slovenia) from 18 to 20 September 2017.

The Congress brought together Ministers of Education, decision-makers responsible for human resources development, senior policy makers, expert practitioners, researchers and other relevant stakeholders. OER are bringing an added value to everyone’s life. Knowledge can easily be obtained by using the mainstreaming of OER – an internet connection and a computer are required to improve lives of millions of people around the globe.

The most important governmental meeting in the year 2017 in Slovenia – OER 2017 is just one of the meetings organised in (by) CD Congress Centre Ljubljana, in September alone visited by 20,500 participants to events such as: Investment Opportunities of Slovenia, 17th Third Age Festival and Pomp Forum. The European Conference on Machine Learning and Principles and Practice of Knowledge Discovery in Databases – ECML-PKDD 2017, 4th European Jazz Conference 2017, 13th LUX Europa Conference, 7th Congress of Slovenian Microbiological Society – SMD 2017 are managed by the CD Congress Team in Skopje (Macedonia), Ljubljana and Bled (Slovenia).
