Taking advantage of their location in the stunning natural environs of Lake Bled, Hotel Kompas and Best Western Premier Hotel Lovec have developed a meeting product that allows participants to experience the Alpine environment with all their senses. Follow below programme for a day – or two – packed with activities that will get the Slovenian Alpine world under your skin.
Early morning: morning yoga with a view. What could be better than to start the day with an easy physical activity outdoors? No need to go far: the terrace of Hotel Kompas has that perfect grassy area for a first contact with nature, and, what’s more, exquisite views of the lake and mountains. Exhale stresses, inhale fresh air, new energy and Alpine inspiration. After an invigorating breakfast including plentiful local products, you’re ready for the day ahead.
Early afternoon: cycling tour to nearby farms. Hop on your (rented) bicycle and pedal off to the farms in the vicinity. A short ride along fields and through villages will take you to local producers of many of the ingredients for your meals, including local honey, dairy products, bread, eggs, fruit and vegetables. See first-hand where your veggies grow and enjoy a chat with the farmer. The dinner’s sure to taste even better!
Evening: Slovenian dinner and cow bells. It’s no joke – you will truly be entertained by cow bells this evening. Or rather, you will entertain yourself and each other. During the delicious local Slovenian dinner, participants will have a go at “playing” one of the most famous Slovenian Alpine (Oberkrainer) tunes, the “Golica”, on a special instrument: cow bells. This fun activity is accompanied by an accordion and is sure to make even the most sceptical of the participants laugh out a hearty Alpine laugh!
