In December 2016, Grand Hotel Bernardin hosted Africa-Europe Diaspora Development Platform (ADEPT) and the 6th Diaspora Development Dialogue (DDD6) ‘Migration and Integration: Actions for Inclusive Development’. The Africa-Europe Diaspora Development Platform organized the event in partnership with the Institute of African Studies (Slovenia) and Humanitas Afrika (Czech Republic).
During three-day conference, the event offered professional Training for Selected Delegates: ‘Project-Planning, Design, and Bid-Writing’.
The Dialogue Day offered dialogue with Policymakers, Practitioners and Partners focused on Migration and Integration: Actions for Inclusive Development, based on New York Declaration which was adopted at the UN Summit for Refugees and Migrants on 19th September 2016.
Amongst other things talked on the conference, it was agreed that campaigns will be developed to counter xenophobia, which is linked with the UN Secretary General’s ‘Togetherness’ campaign. The last day, presented DDD6 Community Engagement Event, which reflected the theme of Mediterranean and Maritime Migration over the Centuries’.
