From 3 to 5 July, 2015, 33 meeting planners from 9 different countries went on Fam Trip “Best of Slovenia”. TMF Dialogue Marketing has talked to the participants about the experiences they have gathered during the two and a half days.
Laura Kurtinaitytė, Association Partner and Event Planner at Live Co (Vilnius, Lithuania) was happy to answer three questions:
1. You know MICE destinations all over the world and have been to many famtrips already – what are the special highlights that you experienced about the destination Slovenia?
I would describe my experience in three words: diversity, coziness and attentiveness. All these components together formed an unexpectedly perfect opinion about the country itself and the local service providers. Slovenia, in terms of business, was really a fresh idea for me. I am glad I had an opportunity to taste it.
2. What was your personal highlight and why?
I was amused by how closely competitive business companies cooperate in order to meet client’s needs. It is a great benefit for me, an event organizer, as it helps the organization process run smoothly and elevate the event to a much higher level.
3. Slovenia has a big choice of interesting products for meetings, incentives, events and congresses. For which of your programs would you pick Slovenia? And why?
It is true, during the famtrip I discovered Slovenia as a destination suitable not only for leisure, but also for professional meetings that I am focusing on. Being a very compact country, with beautiful cities located in a short distance from the international airport, opens more opportunities for venue selection. I could recommend to my clients venues from the spacious congress centre in a historical capital to a cozy hotel on the Bled lake or an exclusive venue on the Adriatic coast, and all locations are easy reachable within an hour drive. I can already imagine an event combining several locations for official part, social program and recommending exciting leisure activities for accompanying persons …
