Maribor has taken a major step forward in sustainability. Within the Green Scheme of Slovenian Tourism, managed by the Slovenian Tourist Board, Maribor has officially been awarded the prestigious Slovenia Green Destination Gold label.
The destination received this high recognition for its systematic planning and implementation of sustainable tourism development in close cooperation with the local community, the tourism industry, and other key stakeholders.
