Flydubai, the low-cost airline from the United Arab Emirates, will establish a direct connection between Ljubljana and Dubai on 24 September 2021. Flights will operate three times a week, on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 15:15. Tickets are already available for purchase.

After many years of intensive efforts to establish a connection between Ljubljana and the Arabian Peninsula, the realization of these talks is really very satisfactory. The establishment of a new regular connection in this extremely demanding times for world aviation and our airport represents new opportunities for the Slovenian economy and tourism, and we are also improving Slovenia’s connectivity with the world. For Fraport Slovenia, the new connection creates new opportunities for re-growth and development. I am pleased that the line will be established after the opening of a new passenger terminal, which represents a special turning point for our airport, the entry into a new airport era“, said Zmago Skobir, Managing Director of Fraport Slovenia.

Fraport Slovenia estimates that the new direct connection has great potential and that the Arab destination will be attractive for passengers. In addition, Dubai is an excellent starting point for further travel and connections around the world. They also believe that Slovenia is an extremely interesting tourist destination, which will help domestic tourism to recover.

Passengers are advised to pay attention to applicable restrictions on crossing borders before traveling and to adapt their travel plans to the accepted health and safety standards in the chosen country. The flydubai information hub is available here.
