Slovenian Spas Association became the newest ESPA (European Spa Association) member at the recent ESPA conference in Rome, Italy. With Slovenia’s position as a green, healthy and active destination with 15 state verified natural spas, high-quality drinking water and 87 natural thermal springs, ESPA’s membership is not a surprise.
European Spa Association consists of the most important spas from 20 European countries. Among important ESPA’s tasks is also lobbying at the European Parliament. Presidency of director of French Spa Association, Thierry Dubois, brought emphasis in the area of research for healing factors and implementation of clinical studies among members.
ESPA membership is opening new opportunities for active cooperation, professional growth and new knowledge for Slovenian spas. SSA will surely endeavor to host one of the yearly ESPA’s conferences in one of the Slovenian spa resorts. Slovenia can already boast with their spa’s being among top 10 spa meeting hotels in the region and with SPA-CE, first and only trade show for spa and wellness tourism in Central Europe. Watch out: next SPA-CE will happen from 17-19th of November.
