Last year, Irish agency SoolNua launched a new destination initiative, the SoolNua World ICECREAM Index. In the 2015 competition, with over 25,000 votes cast – the No.1 spot was a very tight race at the end and top of the list was Slovenia.
Nominations were invited from meetings industry professionals resident in destinations where, they believe, the world’s best ice cream is available or, indeed, from MICE road warriors who believe they’ve found the perfect ice-cream in India, Italy, Indonesia, or Slovenia. Individual ice cream producers who thought they have the winning formula posted their entries.
