The last week of August will be marked by Conventa and Conventa Crossover.
In the Autumn of 2020, the organisers of Conventa announced the postponement of Conventa to the last week of August 2021. Considering the favourable epidemiological situation and the plan of easing restrictions in our part of Europe, we are confirming the joint execution of Conventa and Conventa Crossover. CONVENTA WEEK will take place from the 24 to the 27 August 2021 in hybrid form. Throughout the entire week, we will build the vision of the regional meetings industry. Above all, we wish to see as many of you as possible in person, as personal contact is priceless.
Executing the event at the end of August regardless of the situation is one of our key promises. The hybrid model merges the best from the live and digital event world, enabling us to swiftly adapt to the situation.
Our key organising concern is to follow necessary safety precautions to prevent COVID-19 from spreading. For this reason, the organisers have acquired the certificate “Safe and Healthy Meetings & Events”. By doing so, we will make the event safe for both attendees and staff. However, we took it a step further. Project #SAFECONVENTA is based on recommendations of test projects across Europe, which we used as an integral part of Conventa’s ten recommendations for ensuring safety. The focal point of the entire week is the frequently heard paradigm: THINK GLOBALLY – ACT REGIONALLY. It is a fact that during these times we are completely dependent on the local and regional market. It is highly likely that it will stay this way for some time. Even during its greatest expansion, Conventa has remained loyal to the region of New Europe. We will be interested in whether and how we can distinguish ourselves and our region as the European California of the meetings industry.

The organisers of Conventa are connecting the regional meetings industry even during the current period, which forced us to accept new circumstances and adapt our modus operandi. Conventa has powered through these challenging times because it is resilient, brave and true to its cause. We still believe and swear on the power of live events, which, in our opinion, cannot be replaced by any other form of communication.
As Gorazd Čad, the co-founder of Conventa, emphasised: “Professionally organised business events are, in my opinion, among the safest and healthiest forms of socialising. The organisers of Conventa will make sure that you will feel safe, relaxed and calm at the event. Once a year, we meet in person in Ljubljana at the festival of the regional meetings industry. We will do our best to keep it that way regardless of all the obstacles. Above all, we wish to see as many of you as possible in person, as personal contact is priceless.
