The 14th Annual Laser & Health Academy (LA&HA) Symposium, co-hosted by Fotona, was held from May 27th to 28th, 2024, in Ljubljana. This year’s symposium was particularly special as Fotona celebrated its 60th anniversary, marking six decades of pioneering innovation in high-technology laser systems. Founded in Slovenia in 1964, Fotona is renowned for its cutting-edge developments in medical and dental laser systems.
This year’s symposium was the most comprehensive to date, featuring updates on the latest clinical research and presentations from esteemed medical laser experts worldwide. It drew a record attendance of 1,300 participants from eighty-one countries, highlighting the global interest and importance of advancements in laser technology.
Cankarjev dom’s congress department managed the event’s logistics and registration, ensuring a smooth experience for all attendees. This included handling the numerous letters of guarantee and administrative processes necessary for obtaining visas to enter Slovenia and the Schengen zone, a task that involved arranging over 100 letters of guarantee for attendees.
