To live up to the expectations of the 2016 European Green Capital, Intours DMC invites groups to opt for some sustainable activities while staying in the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana.

NEW TREASURE HUNT: THE STORIES OF LJUBLJANA CRAFTSMEN
To explore the authentic gems of the European Green Capital in an environmentally friendly way, Intours DMC proposes a high tech treasure hunt guiding guests to charismatic craftsmen of Ljubljana. Operating from tablets, the app sends the guests to meet a local porcelain designer, custodian of a theological library, traditional shoemaker and the only umbrella repair shop left in Ljubljana. During the tour, the local craftsmen share the secrets of their trade as well as some advice on designing porcelain rings, upholding umbrellas and taking care of leather shoes. This brand new treasure hunt introduces guests to unique, local experiences of Ljubljana, which they couldn’t do on their own.

FOSSIL FUEL FREE DAY IN LJUBLJANA
Incentive groups can spend an active day in the charming Ljubljana without using any fossil fuel. From the centrally located hotels participants can head for water activities on the Ljubljanica River. In this way the group can discover the capital of Slovenia in an unconventional way – by a canoe, kayak or sup. After lunch at a very special little gostilna-style restaurant, which employs people with special needs, the guests continue the fossil fuel free day and ride bike on the Green Ring, a well-maintained gravel-paved recreational footpath running around Ljubljana. In the evening the guests can just take a short stroll to one of special venues for their gala dinner.

ECO-RALLY ON SLOVENIAN SIDEWAYS
To explore Slovenian sideways in a more sustainable manner, incentive groups can head for an eco-rally, focusing on energy and fuel savings as well as environment protection. The rally challenges the participants to follow special driving techniques to finish the designated route with least amount of fuel consumed. After a professional introduction, the participants head off on voyage into the unknown with specially prepared roadbook to guide them to several checkpoints. While driving through the countryside at a slower pace, they can enjoy the mesmerizing views of Slovenia’s diverse landscape.
