Kempinski Palace Portorož was the only stop in Slovenia of the nine-day automotive tour Gran Turismo Adriatica 2017.
The tour started on the 6 May in Prague and had the route through Austria towards Slovenia and the Adriatic. The tour was part of Gran Turismo events and was full of spectacular super cars – Lamborghini Gallardo, Ferrari F12, Dodge Viper GTS, Porsche 911 were among the participating cars.
Kempinski Palace Portorož hosted them for one night, being the only choice in Slovenia. The Gran Turismo participants stayed at the coastal resort and enjoyed a unique dinner in Portorož. On the next morning a lavish breakfast in the magnificent Crystal Hall awaited them before departuring. The departure was a spectacular one, as the remarkable cars were shown to Portorož for the last time, before continuing the tour towards Croatia. The tour ended in Split, Coratia.
