The winter timetable at Ljubljana Airport, running from 27 October 2024 to 29 March 2025, will feature 14 airlines operating 16 routes, with increased flight frequencies to Munich and Zurich. Lufthansa will increase its flights to Munich from 7 to 10 per week, while Swiss will boost its Zurich services from 11 to 14 weekly flights, including convenient daily morning departures for better connections.
In addition to these enhanced services, the airport’s winter network will include charter flights to 15 destinations, including Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Egypt, and more. Passenger numbers have risen by 17% compared to last year, with Fraport Slovenia expecting over 1.4 million travelers by year-end. Ljubljana Airport’s winter timetable will offer a range of international services, including airBaltic to Riga, Air France to Paris, Turkish Airlines to Istanbul, and flydubai to Dubai. Despite the seasonal nature of air travel in Slovenia, which sees lower demand during winter, the airport continues to recover well post-pandemic, with key routes like Zurich, Belgrade, and Brussels exceeding pre-pandemic traffic levels. The airport has also introduced a new online parking reservation system, improving the travel experience for passengers. Furthermore, Fraport Slovenia remains committed to sustainable growth, as evidenced by its continued environmental efforts, including the renewal of its Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) certification, with a 60% reduction in emissions per passenger since 2012.
