At the end of May 2024, the 2nd Congress Ambassadors Meeting took place under the auspices of the Slovenian Convention Bureau and the Destination Club Ljubljana.
The opening part of the meeting was hosted at the Rog Centre, where we presented the project’s plans for this year. In its presentation, Ljubljana Tourism / Convention Bureau emphasised the importance of the meetings industry in Slovenia’s capital city and presented statistics on the events held.
The representative of Tolerance Marketing, Natalija Čad, presented the importance of sustainability in the organisation of events. The meeting with the ambassadors was also dedicated to presenting fresh locations for events, so in addition to the Rog Centre, we also visited Cukrarna, where we were presented with possibilities for events of different sizes. We concluded the meeting with a tour of the renovated Casemate Hall at the Ljubljana Castle, which can host receptions for up to 150 people.
The next meetings planned for this year will take place in Portorož and Maribor, which also offer some new venues for the meetings industry.
About the Slovenian Ambassador Programme

It aims to identify, recognize and support Slovenian scientists, doctors, professors, researchers, business people, athletes and other individuals who are members of international associations, experts in their respective fields and who strive to bring international events to Slovenia.
