Ljubljana, 13 July, 2023 – Slovenia is currently hosting the SITE Incentive Summit Europe 2023, a professional event that brings together incentive travel experts from around the world, as well as leaders and other interested audiences, to discuss the latest trends, share best practices and explore opportunities in the growing incentive travel sector. The event showcases Slovenia’s unique appeal as a top destination for incentive travel.

The SITE Incentive Summit Europe 2023 takes place from 12-15 July 2023 and is organized by SITE (Society for Incentive Travel Excellence), an international association dedicated to the advancement and development of the incentive travel industry. SITE plays a key role in promoting the value of incentive travelencouraging its growth by providing education, networking and collaboration for its members. The association’s commitment to excellence and innovation makes it a trusted source of information for meeting industry professionals worldwide.

This year’s event attracted participants from 23 different countries, including industry leaders, decision makers and experienced incentive travel professionals. The event offers a unique platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and networking with like-minded individuals from different geographical backgrounds. During the three-day programme, participants will enjoy a series of interesting lectures, interactive workshops, insightful discussions; and will discover Slovenia by visiting Ljubljana, Bled, and the Brdo Estate.

Slovenia is proud to be hosting SITE’s event for the second time. The first SITE Incentive Summit was held in 2016with the main event in Ljubljana, where the annual meeting of SITE’s Board of Directors and Board of Trusteestook place. Such events underline the growing importance of Slovenia as an attractive destination for incentive travel, with its rich cultural and natural heritage, diversity and other attributes becoming an increasingly popular destination for incentive travel. The country’s strategic location at the heart of Europe, excellent infrastructure and commitment to sustainable development further enhance its appeal.

The event is managed by the Slovenian Tourist Board and the Slovenian Convention Bureau in cooperation with the Ljubljana Convention Bureau / Visit Ljubljana, the Bled Convention Bureau, and the agencies Liberty Adriatic DMC and Intours DMC.

A broad range of activities by the Slovenian Convention Bureau

Slovenia also features at a number of promotional events at home and abroad this year: at two specialized workshops for the European market, at the C&IT Festival of Forums in the UK, and at selected global trade shows such as IMEX FrankfurtIBTM World and IMEX America. In addition, the Bureau, with the support of the Slovenian Tourist Board, is carrying out a number of other activities and promotions.
