A Dynamic Presentation of Slovenia at the New Slovenian Stand Design

Slovenia has proudly attended this important international fair for over 20 years. In addition to the Slovenian Tourist Board and the Slovenian Convention Bureau15 Slovenian providers of business meetings, events and incentives are also presenting themselves at this year’s Barcelona business travel market.

Individual meetings and presentations, enriched with top Slovenian culinary offerings, will take place at the Slovenian stand H80. In addition, Slovenia is being promoted through various business and social events and digital activities across IBTM’s online platforms and social networks.

The Slovenian stand is mainly dedicated to meetings with clients and customers organising corporate meetings, congresses and incentive trips. This year we are also seeing an increase in the number of meetings with representatives of associations and professional congress organisers who recognise Slovenia as a destination with stellar potential for their future events.

This year, Slovenia’s stand surprises with a new visual identity that combines modernity and sustainability, championing a green future.

Future Challenges and Opportunities

Trends in business tourism point to an emphasis on sustainability and mobility. Despite many global challenges, the number of events is steadily increasing, especially in the segments of corporate, incentive travel and professional meetings. This positive atmosphere has had an inspiring effect on the industry, driving networking and innovation.

In addition to the global trends emphasizing sustainability and mobility in business tourism, Slovenia’s meetings, events and incentives industry boasts unique selling points that align perfectly with these principles. The country’s stunning natural landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and commitment to eco-friendly practices make it a prime choice for event organizers seeking sustainable and value-for-money destinations. As Slovenia’s tourism strategy places a strong emphasis on the economic benefits and added value generated by the MICE sector, it is well positioned to thrive amidst future challenges and opportunities.

A Varied Educational Program

In addition to a diverse range of activities and numerous networking opportunities, this year’s business travel event offers participants an extremely rich educational and social program with dozens of roundtables, workshops and panels. There are many keynote speeches on technology, innovation, digitalization, sustainability, community building and resilience in the meetings industry.
