On February 8, the countdown began for the European Capital of Culture in 2025. It kicked off with events in Nova Gorica and Gorizia, celebrating Slovenia’s cultural holiday. The GO! 2025 partners showcased ongoing projects to the public, giving a sneak peek of what’s to come next year.
The countdown ceremony started at 10 am in Europe Square, right between the two cities. Throughout the day, visitors enjoyed guided tours in both languages, a Prešeren poetry recital in Bevk Square at noon, and an evening dance performance by the MN Dance Company at the Krila Rusjan (Xcenter) window.
