The first conference of the year 2016 was organized in Grand Hotel Union in Ljubljana and welcomed business and economics professors and administrators, as well as corporation, government executives and economists. The conference programme covered areas like accounting, management science, finance & international finance, business ethics, quantitative methods, business statistics or econometrics, business law or law & economics.
With the long programme and high temperatures, for this conference they made sure that the participants staid energized. They served their excellent coffee and cold drinks accompanied by small bites of culinary treats during coffee breaks. Participants could pamper their taste buds also during lunches in the summer restaurant Union Garden and cool off with the best “homemade” ice cream served in the Grand Union Café.
As guests came to Ljubljana from all around the world, the conference was also an excellent opportunity to explore Slovenia. Organizers made sure that excursions to Bled, Bohinj, Postojna caves, Portorož & Piran and a sightseeing of the capital city were on the programme.
All in all, the event was a success and Slovenian really made a positive impression on the first-time visitors. The B&ESI will not rest. They are already planning their next conference to be held in September in Abu Dhabi, while the 2017 editions will start in March in the Isle of Crete.
