Connecting Smart, Inclusive, Clean and Save EU Mobility

The GR – Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre has been on 25-27 April 2018 a crossroad of the flagship event on Europe’s transport connectivity. More than 2300 participated in the TEN-T Days, the biggest international conference in Ljubljana this year. High-level meetings took place with many high level personalities (5 European Commissioners, 26 Ministers, Members of the European Parliament, European Coordinators, and many CEO’s like the interinstitutional meeting with the representatives of the European Commission, EU transport Ministers and Members of the European Parliament, as well as the South East Europe Ministerial Meeting, the Southern Mediterranean Transport Ministerial Seminar and the Eastern Partnership Ministerial Meeting. More than 40 sessions took place besides the high level Ministerial meetings and High level speakers were on stage in the 4 plenary sessions. The TEN-T Days also saw an impressive indoor and outdoor exhibition with more than 100 exhibitors showing innovative transport solutions and technologies, including an innovative electric plane.

Désirée Oen, Policy Coordinator, Directorate-general for Mobility and Transport, reported that the TEN-T Days were very successful and that the GR – Ljubljana Exhibitona and Convention Centre with 22 multi-purpose halls and the outer surfaces was the right choice for the conference.

DG MOVE under the leadership of Violeta Bulc, Commissioner for Transport organised the “TEN-T” (trans-European transport network) Days in Ljubljana on 25-27 April 2018 during the Bulgarian Presidency in the Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre.

The TEN-T Days is the flagship event on Europe’s transport connectivity, attracting more than 2000 participants: Ministers, public authorities, project promoters, European Investment Bank and other public financial institutions, private investors, civil society, wrote Désirée Oen.

For the first time, it hosted an idea accelerator and futuristic lab, allowing young European entrepreneurs and companies to showcase innovative mobility solutions.

High-level meetings took place like the interinstitutional meeting with the representatives of the European Commission, EU transport Ministers and Members of the European Parliament, as well as the South East Europe Ministerial Meeting, the Southern Mediterranean Transport Ministerial Seminar and the Eastern Partnership Ministerial Meeting.

More than 40 sessions took place besides the high level Ministerial meetings and High level speakers were on stage in the 4 plenary sessions, under which Prime Minister Miro Cerar, Vice President Sefčovic, Commissioners Creţu, Hahn and Oettinger.
