Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week (MBFW), fashion industry’s well-established event, has been for more than two decades launching prestigious fashion weeks in various destinations around the globe. From 10 to 12 May 2018, Slovenian capital hosted the MBFW’s Ljubljana edition. The sixth Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Ljubljana set its fashion runways in the GR – Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre‘s (GR) Marmorna Hall.
The crème de la crème of the domestic and regional fashion collections for three days took charge of the catwalk placed inside the GR. A record number of 20 fashion designers from Slovenia and its wider region were able to incorporate presentations of their work in the hall that offers endless options for setting events. Around 330 different catwalk exits took the runaway and more than three thousand visitors came to see the international fashion week and its collections, fashion designers, and to enjoy in the diverse accompanying events.
One of the highlights was the special coreography when the new generation of the Mercedes-Benz A-Class was presented along the walking fashion models. In addition, the young talented designers had an opportunity to showcase their work to Vogue Italia representatives that came to find a new talent whose collection would be later presented on the Vogue Talents platform which looks for talented designers all around the world in order to help them breakthrough into foreign markets.
At the MBFWLJ, organised in a colllaboration between the marketing agency Pristop, the Slovenian Mercedes-Benz team, make-up school and cosmetic line MUD Studio Slovenia, and the hair saloon Mare dresura frizure, domestic creators got new opportunities in the international fashion platform. And GR got another opportunity to re-affirm its status as one of the most chameleonic venues in the region.
