Hotel Park Ljubljana, located right in the heart of Ljubljana, the European Green Capital 2016, joined the green concept by showing their support for future environmental improvement with new electric car charging station right in front of the hotel. Charging station has two plugs-ins – 22 kV for fast charging which takes up to 1 hour, and classic plug-in where charging takes up to 8 hours. At the same time they’ve have also invested in an electric car which is available as official company car for all employees of the Hotel Park Ljubljana.
Ursa Malovrh, Hotel Manager of Hotel Park said:
”We want to show our support to Ljubljana as a Green Capital of Europe. Electric car charging station seems like a natural decision for us. Hotel Park is surrounded by green area (park) and it’s located in pedestrian area. Our hotel even has a word ‘PARK’ in our name.”
They’ve been planning how to participate in the concept of »The green capital« for a long time. The idea of electric car and electric filling station was created, together with ideas about extra – Eco offer for hotel and restaurant guests.
“In July and August we organize free yoga for hotel guests and for all locals in the park in front of the hotel. We are preparing further greening of the square in front of the hotel and you can also expect green novelties in the restaurant menu and even more surprises”, added Ursa Malovrh.
Hotel Park Ljubljana will continue in the direction of obtaining eco sign Travellife, internationally recognized and established environmental label for hotels and accommodation providers in order to obtain SLOVENIA GREEN sign in the future. With this label, the hotel will be more involved in supporting activities for promoting the green offer, which will be strengthened by the Public Agency SPIRIT Slovenia in the next year.
