In May 2024, LifeClass Hotels & Spa Portorož had the honor of hosting the FIBA Europe General Assembly, marking a return of this prestigious event to Slovenia after nearly two decades. This gathering brought together influential leaders from European basketball federations, alongside esteemed guests from around the world, to discuss the future of basketball in Europe. Slovenia’s growing reputation in the basketball world, bolstered by the achievements of its national team and the global fame of Luka Dončić, made it a fitting location for this significant congress.
LifeClass Portorož previously hosted the FIBA Europe General Assembly in 2005, and the decision to return this year underscores Slovenia’s esteemed role in the industry and highlights the exceptional facilities offered by the LifeClass congress center.
